CM Nayab Singh Saini Leads Farmer Reforms as VB-G RAM G Act Explained Panchkula – Under the farmer-centric leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, efforts to strengthen rural livelihoods in Haryana gained momentum as Pilot Neeraj Sehrawat, National Incharge – Research and Policy, BJP Kisan Morcha, interacted with farmers at an anaj mandi in Panchkula to discuss the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act, 2025. During the interaction, Pilot Neeraj Sehrawat outlined how the VB-G RAM G Act represents a decisive shift in India’s rural employment framework by linking guaranteed work with productive asset creation, agricultural sustainability, and income security. Addressing farmers, he said, “The Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 is not merely an employment scheme; it is a nation-building instrument. By linking guaranteed work with productive assets, water security, and rural infrastructure, this Act strengthens agriculture, stabilises incomes, and empowers villages.” He further highlighted that under the committed governance of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Haryana’s farmers are well-positioned to play a leading role in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. Ltd., a Haryana-based agri enterprise, welcomed the legislation’s integrated approach to rural development. “The Government of Haryana has consistently demonstrated a progressive and practical approach towards farmer welfare. The VB-G RAM G Act strengthens the rural ecosystem by ensuring labour availability, improving water and market infrastructure, and promoting climate-resilient agriculture,” he said, adding that the policy framework provides stability and long-term growth opportunities for farmers and agri enterprises. Explaining the policy framework, Sehrawat noted that the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, is a comprehensive statutory overhaul of MGNREGA, aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The Act prioritises water-related works to support irrigation and groundwater recharge, investment in rural roads and connectivity to enhance market access, and the creation of livelihood infrastructure such as storage facilities and rural markets to enable income diversification. The legislation also introduces a strengthened institutional and governance mechanism spanning from the national to the village levels. Provisions for AI-enabled analytics, biometric authentication, GPS and mobile-based monitoring, real-time MIS dashboards, public disclosures, and mandatory social audits aim to enhance transparency and accountability in the utilisation of public funds. The interaction concluded with farmers expressing strong interest in the VB-G RAM G Act and its potential to reinforce agricultural resilience, rural livelihoods, and income security in Haryana. The Act positions rural employment as a strategic tool for sustainable development, aligned with long-term national growth objectives.
