The fourth day of the tournament sees thrilling matches, teamwork, and standout performances from Mohali’s top school teams. Chandigarh | Sports Desk The Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy, hosted by Vivek High School, Mohali, continued to deliver high-voltage action on its fourth day as young basketball players showcased their energy, agility, and teamwork in a series of gripping matches across various age categories. Spectators were treated to stellar performances from Learning Paths School (LPS), Mohali and Yadavindra Public School (YPS), Mohali, who dominated their respective matches, while teams from Saint Kabir, Saupins, GNPS, and others displayed commendable fighting spirit and skill. Girls Under-10:LPS Mohali outclassed Sacred Heart, Chandigarh 15–1, with Chahat scoring all 15 points for the winners, while Renuka secured the only point for Sacred Heart. Boys Under-10:Saupins School, Chandigarh, defeated Vivek High School 10–3. Jeevant led Saupins with 4 points, while Shaurya scored 3 for Vivek High. Girls Under-12:LPS Mohali triumphed over Manav Rachna School 12–6. Ambreen scored 8 points for LPS, and Adiva netted 4 for Manav Rachna. Boys Under-12:Vivek High School, Mohali, thrashed DPS Chandigarh 25–8. Vedant was the star with 14 points, while Arjan added 4 for DPS. Boys Under-14:In one of the most exciting contests, YPS Mohali edged past Saupins School 30–27. Digvijay led YPS with 14 points, while Kanv scored 12 for Saupins. Saint Kabir School beat Vivek High School 26–16, thanks to Vardhan’s 13 points. In another nail-biter, KV High Ground School edged Manav Rachna 48–47, with Ansh scoring 16 and Dev contributing 21 for the runners-up. Girls Under-17:GNPS Chandigarh overpowered Saint Joseph’s 44–4. Simran starred with 11 points for GNPS, while Mansvi managed a single point for Saint Joseph’s. Boys Under-17:YPS Mohali continued their dominance by defeating Saint Kabir School 34–20. Simranjot led YPS with 18 points, while Mahinder scored 8 for the opposition. The tournament continues to highlight emerging basketball talent from the region, fostering sportsmanship and competitive spirit among young athletes.
