Singer B. Praak and Munish Bajaj announce week-long spiritual celebrations at Sector 34 Mela Ground
Chandigarh, Sept 27: Chandigarh is set to witness a week of devotion and cultural celebrations as the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha and Vrindavan Prakatya Utsav begin today at the Mela Ground, Sector 34. The event, organized under the banner of Shri Krishna Priya Ju Sankirtan Mandal, will continue until October 3, with daily sessions from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

At a press conference, singer and event organizer B. Praak shared that the Katha is being held in memory of Shri Shri 1008 Siddha Yogi Bachan Nath Bachan Ji Maharaj. Praak, along with coordinator Munish Bajaj, revealed details of the festivities and invited devotees to participate. He also met Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria to extend a formal invitation, noting that senior officials will grace the occasion.
Renowned saints and spiritual leaders from across the country are expected to attend. The Katha will be delivered by Param Pujya Shri Indresh Maharaj, whose soulful narration will be accompanied by daily Bhajan Sandhyas led by popular devotional singers. Praak emphasized the event’s significance, saying, “Maharaj has named it Vrindavan Prakatya Utsav. From today, Chandigarh will transform into Vrindavan.”
The celebrations will feature a variety of traditional festivals, including Mor Kuti Bhaav, Lal Ji Palna Mahotsav, Dahi Handi, Holi Utsav, Sanjhi Swarup, Dussehra Swarup, and Vishram Diwas.
Prominent spiritual personalities such as Bageshwar Sarkar Ji, Mohit Maraal from Radha Vallabh, Chitra Vichitra, and Jaya Kishori will also address devotees during the week-long program.

The organizers, including Munish Bajaj, Sandeep Chugh, Tanme Bansal, Happy, and Yuvraj Gupta, have called on families to attend and experience the spiritual atmosphere.
With devotional music, cultural performances, and the divine message of the Bhagwat Katha, the Vrindavan Prakatya Utsav is expected to draw large crowds, turning Chandigarh into a hub of faith and celebration this week.
