NIPER Mohali to Host 5th Edition of Shiksha Mahakumbh 2025

The three-day event from October 31 will bring educators, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers together under the theme “Classroom to Society: Building a Healthier World through Education.”

Chandigarh, September 24: The 5th edition of Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan 2025 will be hosted at NIPER Mohali from October 31 to November 2, 2025, bringing together leaders from academia, research, industry, and policymaking to discuss the future of education in India. This year’s theme is “Classroom to Society: Building a Healthier World through Education.”

The conference aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and societal needs, providing a platform for collaborative dialogue. Previous editions of Shiksha Mahakumbh were successfully held at NIT Jalandhar, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Srinagar, and Kurukshetra University, with growing participation each year from educators, researchers, and industry experts.

Speaking at a press conference at the Chandigarh Press Club, Prof. Dulal Panda, Director of NIPER Mohali, said:
“Shiksha Mahakumbh 2025 will serve as a powerful platform to align education with the needs of society. Education should not remain confined to classrooms but must contribute to building a healthier, stronger world. Hosting this edition at NIPER is a matter of pride, and we expect global collaboration and meaningful outcomes.”

Prof. Deepti Dharmani, Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani, and Vice President of Vidya Bharati North Zone, emphasized that Shiksha Mahakumbh has evolved into a national movement connecting education with innovation, values, and cultural ethos—aligned with the vision of India@2047.

This edition will feature 12 national-level conclaves for vice-chancellors, directors, teachers, researchers, innovators, and policymakers, alongside paper presentations, the National Tinkering Challenge, student-centric programs, exhibitions, cultural performances, and awards.

Highlighting past achievements, Saurabh Chaudhary, President of the Holistic Education Department, said that Shiksha Mahakumbh has inspired many initiatives such as Tradul, Sarvatra, Swadeshi Bazaar, Jobs 360°, ToDo, Holistic Harbor, and various Olympiads—connecting education with real societal needs.

Media in-charge Advocate Aarti Sharma invited stakeholders and the public to join the event with full enthusiasm, ensuring active participation in shaping India’s educational renaissance.

With the support of state and central institutions, Shiksha Mahakumbh 2025 at NIPER Mohali promises to be a landmark event in reimagining education’s role in building a healthier, empowered society.
